Arkin Interviewed for Documentary on Climate Data

ESSIC Deputy Director and Senior Research Scientist Phil Arkin was recently interviewed for a documentary on climate change data by Cemil Alyanak, a local cinematographer.

The documentary, working title “Climate Data: Fact or Fabrication”, argues that climate data is fact.  In the film, he will attempt to expose how certain media and denier advocates are the ones actually fudging or selectively presenting data.  As of now, the film has no specific release date.

Arkin conducts research into the observation and analysis of precipitation and other aspects of the hydrological cycle of the global climate system.  Earlier this year, he published a book meant to be an introduction to observational climate science for undergraduate students and interested nonacademic readers.
