ESSIS research scientist, Dr. Sinéad Farrell, is participating in the Summer Sea Ice Camp in Barrow, Alaska from May 26-June 2, 2016. The sea ice camp, supported by the NSF Arctic System Science program, will bring together a group of sea ice observers and modelers, from US institutions and at various career stages, to discuss issues related to the measuring and modeling of sea ice. The goal is to better integrate the sea ice research community, so as to improve our ability to observe and understand the ongoing changes in the Arctic sea ice cover.
