Distinguished University of Maryland professor Eugenia Kalnay, a National Academy of Engineering member and current faculty member in the department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science (AOSC), is a featured subject in a recent book that celebrates the successes and careers of female scientists throughout the United States.
The book, titled “Women Scientists of the Americas: Their Inspiring Stories” is being published by the Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS). The book includes interviews with 16 female scientists from IANAS member academies in North, Central, and South America.
IANAS is a regional network of academies of sciences created to support cooperation toward the strengthening of science and technology as a tool for advancing research and development, prosperity, and equity in the Americas.
