A new study led by Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) scientist Sujay Kaushal introduces a new way to think about water quality monitoring along urban streams that could help researchers more accurately track pollutants across waterways.
Sujay Kaushal, ESSIC and Department of Geology Associate Professor, is a co-author on a new paper in Global Biogeochemical Cycles titled, “RH: Stream nitrogen composition Gradients of anthropogenic nutrient enrichment alter N composition and DOM stoichiometry in freshwater ecosystems”. Also credited on the paper is Shahan Haq, graduate student at the UMD Department of Geology.
Sujay Kaushal, ESSIC and Department of Geology Associate Professor, recently published a paper in Water Research alongside co-authors from the University at Buffalo’s Department of Chemistry, UMD’s Department of Geology, and private firm Hazen and Sawyer.
