James Farquhar is one of 190 new Fellows named by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. He received the fellowship for his work on isotopic investigations of microbial sulfur metabolisms. The Guggenheim Memorial Foundation annually recognizes and awards professional scholars in all fields, with the exception of performing arts, “who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts.”
